Mastro in Claude
Connect your own Claude to Mastro, and your clients' books are in the chat: Mastro's map of each client's books, and its review queue, reconciliations, and month-end close on screen. Claude works under your firm's rules: it reads and suggests, and the decisions stay yours.
Set up
Connect it in a minute
- Claude on the web or desktopSettings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Name it Mastro, give it

- From MastroAsk Claude, on the review queue, reconciliations, and month-end close, opens Claude with the request typed in.
What you need: a Mastro account at a firm that turned AI on, and any Claude plan with custom connectors. For firm work, use a Claude Team or Enterprise plan: Anthropic doesn't train on those conversations.
What it does
Ask, review, reconcile, close
- Answers about the booksBalances, reports, what's waiting, and where the close stands, read live from Mastro. "How much did Acme spend on fuel last quarter?"
- The review queue, on screenClaude suggests a category for each bank line, then shows Mastro's review queue in the chat. You approve each one with a click, or reject what Claude suggested.
- ReconciliationsEvery bank and card account, how far each is reconciled, and what's still outstanding. Finish one at a difference of zero right there.
- The month-end closeEach check, what blocks closing, and why. Owners and admins close the month once nothing blocks.
- Drafts for your teamRules, journal entries, and questions for the client, each waiting for someone at the firm to approve it.

The rules
What Claude can't do
- It signs in as youWith Mastro, through OAuth. Claude never sees your password, and it reaches only what you can see in Mastro.
- It never changes the booksClaude reads and suggests. Approving, closing a month, and finishing a reconciliation happen only on Mastro's screens, by your own click, through the same checks as in Mastro.
- Your firm's settings holdWhere AI is off, Claude reaches nothing. Where the firm lets its AI only read, Claude leaves no suggestions and the screens only show.
- Numbers stay maskedSocial Security, tax ID, bank account, and card numbers reach Claude with only their last four digits.
- Everything is on the recordEach thing Claude reads or suggests is in the client's activity feed.
- You can end it any timeIn Mastro, under AI connections, or by removing the connector in Claude. Your firm can turn connectors off for everyone.

Privacy and help
Where the data goes
What Claude reads from Mastro becomes part of your conversation with Claude, under your agreement with Anthropic. Mastro keeps your connection and a record of each call in the client's activity feed, never the data a call read. The privacy policy and the security page have the details.
If Claude can't reach a client: AI is off for it, it doesn't have the AI module, or your firm doesn't let people connect their own AI. An owner or admin changes that in Settings → AI. Anything else: support@mastroledger.com.
